ETAS (Nortel Engineering Technical
Assistance Center)
ETAS is the Nortel ENGINEERING
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTER. It is comforting to
know that the finest super-technicians are available
and they have the ability to access your phone system,
coordinate with the resident Affiliated Telephone Technician,
and resolve your problems in a timely matter. ONLY
AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTORS CAN WORK WITH ETAS. This
elite group is available seven (7) days a week, 24 hours
a day. They are certified in all Nortel PBXs and
their sole function is to troubleshoot problems for
the customers of Authorized Distributors.
ETAS process works as follows:
1) We register your system with Nortel.
2) We give them your customer information so
they quickly can pull up your history and help resolve
problems properly.
3) With Remote computers, they dial up your system
to instruct your resident technician or reprogram themselves.
ETAS technicians actually work for Nortel but their
services are extended to us because of our agreement
with Nortel.
In emergency situations they can authorize the drop-shipment
of parts to your location.
